To all our family & Friends we wish you a very Happy Australia Day. I for one am overjoyed to be a citizen of this great nation. My parents, Brothers and I migrate to Australia in 1974 ( I was 10 at the time) from The Netherlands. We became naturalised citizens 3 years later. Some photos of the Fireworks at the Geelong Waterfront from last night.

Well I have had to have a good long think about things that are important to me and what really isn't and you know My FAMILY are #1 in everything that matters.
Having said that I have had to think about me and Stampin' Up! and as much as I love their stamps and other products I'm not a "party plan" girl at all. Just don't like having my supplies in boxes and waiting for the next booking at all so at the end of this month I am going to give up Stampin' Up!. It's a tough choice but hey it has to be made. I'll live and I won't stress about feeling like I am stretching myself too far and all over the place.
DH's work hours being what they are some weeks its just too hard to work around him and hte boys that are still at home. Plus my commitment to my DT work is much more important to me.
So good bye Stampin' Up! if you are one of my customers I will post a link to some wonderful ladies in early Feb that I know will be more then happy to help you with any products you may wish to purchase from Stampin' Up!
Catch you soon with another post :)

Ok this may be silly but I normally just use Kodak Easyshare to upload my photos from my camera to my pc. Yes I know there are some basic things in there that you can play with to "alter" photos but honsestly I have a love for Paintshop Pro 9 that I do heaps in (maybe not enough though). So today I thought I would share my week 1 and week 2 photos that so far are my favourites.
Week #2 photo
Here is our ever so hansome and cute godson JJ on his trike begging me for a photo. Couldn't resist since he asked so nicely.
I used the Spotlight in fun effects to darken the edges.
Week #1 Photo
Our hansome soon to be 16 year old giving a ride to Bella on his major new toy that he bought himself with his earning from Toys-R-Us.
For this photo I just had to use the Fisheye effect in the fun effects.
Easy peasy you say and yep it was so if you have a program that you use to upload your photos to your pc go check out what else it can do and hey leave me a comment when you have done it so I can check it out.

Yep I have taken the plunge and made a commitment to myself to take a random sort of photo once a day for the month of January.
I won't post them each and every day but I will post them once a week just to keep myself on track. LOL
So here are photos in no special order from the 28/12/08 to today 04/01/09.
I haven't actually finished a layout this week but have started one so thats a good thing. It just needs some final touches and a little bit of journalling and then it will be done.
Have also started an OTP project which is looking pretty spiffy if I say so myself and will share that as soon as that is finished aswell. I am hoping to have it finished by the end of the week.
We have still had a pretty busy week here what with going out and having friends and family drop in to wish us a Happy New Year. "Spring" cleaning since Sam moved out just after Isacc was born etc you know as a mum, domestic goddess and all the house work is pretty much never ending but once its done it looks great.
Getting a call at 9pm last night from Renee in regard to some scrapping paper storage shelves I have that aren't being used and asking me to drop them off to her was great. LOL, but thats what friends are for and knowing I can pop in on her at anytime of the day and night is pretty cool and a whole heap of fun.

May 2009 bring you joy, happiness, prosperity, love and your hearts desires each and every day.
Besides my scrapping goals I am also going to choose one word for this year. My word for 2009 is:-
JOY - the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation. A source or cause of keen pleasure or delight; something or someone greatly valued or appreciated.
The idea behind the one little word concept is to give yourself something to focus on throughout the year. "A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow."
Do you have one word for 2009? If so then please leave a comment. I would love to know what your word is.
